I live in America and she lives in Ipswich UK. What a delight to see what activity she is involved in. I have been using your comments to communicate with carers and have received almost immediate responses. This app is priceless to me.’

I would like to thank all the carers, staff, and particularly Rob and his team in the kitchen for helping to make Mum’s birthday a very special occasion at the weekend.

When Peggy returned back to the home from hospital on Christmas Eve and said “I’m glad to be back“.

Just a short none to thank yourself and your staff for a wonderful Luncheon. The food was really excellent along with really good service. My mother had a very good time being surrounded by her family.

A Registered Care Home In Ipswich

At Park View, Ipswich, our qualified care team provides residents with around the clock nursing care. We strive to provide a homely and safe environment. Here our trained staff administer care in a range of specialist areas including

  • MS
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Diabetes

We operate to rigorous policies and procedures with a robust approach to clinical governance. Our care home is registered by the Care Quality Commission, an executive non-department public body established to regulate and inspect health and social care services in England.

Personalised help with Elderly Care

A Park View we offer a personalised care plan that we develop together with our residents and their family. A member of our staff will meet with the potential resident after registration. From here the potential resident will undertake a full needs assessment. This enables us to develop a plan that will meet our future guests’ requirements.

Our plan will include details such as

  • Favourite activities
  • Information on diets
  • Medication
  • Daily Routines
  • Level of assistance

This all helps form the basis of all the future care and support our residents receive.

We perform regular reviews of the care plans to ensure that we always deliver appropriate care. This ensures we take any changes to care needs are into consideration.

Relative Gateway

We have an electronic system which links the needs assessment with risk assessments, care plans and daily recording.

These are web-based and are accessed by all the team as appropriate to ensure the care is safe, relevant and individualised. In some circumstances, relatives can access their relative’s plans online remotely.

We have found this a great advantage for relatives who live abroad or are on holiday.

The relative gateway also allows for messaging between the relative and the home. The team invite the resident and relatives, as appropriate, for care plan reviews, normally 2 weeks after admission to check everything is working well and then as requested/required to ensure they are relevant, appropriate and up to date.

Our Care Home Staff

At Park View, we are very proud that we have never required agency staff for resident care.  We manage this by always over recruiting to our team and having our own bank staff who also cover shifts. This means that our residents will always be supported by people they know.

Park View Care Home Facilities

At Park View, we offer exceptional facilities to all that stay with us, whether your stay is for Assisted Living, Palliative Care or Respite stay.

Our home is set within beautifully landscaped gardens, which provide the perfect environment for respite and recovery.

At Park View, we make the most of a carefully selected range of technology to provide a premier personal care experience.

Park View is proud to be working with myo to improve our communication with relatives. myo enables our caregivers, wellbeing team and other staff to share photos and videos of our residents with their relatives. Whether it’s catching a glimpse of time with friends, being a part of a trip around our gardens, or even witnessing an appointment with the hairdresser, myo gives families an insight into those routine moments in our care home that often go unnoticed. Families can use the app to comment on posts directly, bringing them one step closer to life in the care home. This is a great motivation for our caregivers and a source of real comfort for your loved ones, who we pass the comments on to. This interaction with you is vital to our dedicated team as we continue to work to deliver first class care to each and every one of our residents.

Well-being at Park View

At Park View, we provide our residents with an excellent range of themed events. This Includes

  • Tea parties
  • Coffee mornings
  • Reminiscence afternoons
  • Craft sessions
  • Live music
  • Day trips

All our activities are designed to help each resident feel at home while meeting their cognitive, sensory, social and emotional needs.

At Park View, we believe that outstanding care is a given. However, where we make a difference is to combine this with the 2 important areas of an exceptional dining experience and importantly an engaging and motivating well-being program.

Previously this was called ‘activities’ however we believe that well-being encompasses a 24/7 program of engaging residents in their interests and supporting them to live their lives to the full.  Activities were about ‘doing’ something, but we believe well-being is about living, being engaged and feeling motivated and encouraged to get up in the morning to enjoy the day.  Our personalised programs provide a range of engaging themes both at the home and importantly out in the community.
